During the residential part of our 12-month all-inclusive program, we offer separate women’s and men’s residences and programs. Approximately 50% of our programs are delivered on a co-educational basis. The other 50% is delivered to men and women separately. All our programs are designed to help you on your drug and alcohol addiction recovery journey.

Our residential rehab facilities in Merrickville, Ontario feature a wide range of features and many of the comforts of home. In these facilities, we offer clients the optimal place to begin the recovery process. Our rehab accommodation includes the following:  

• Private and Semi-Private Bedrooms: We offer private and semi-private rooms. Here you can relax and focus on your recovery from addiction and mental health challenges.

• Art Studios: Our facility features a fully equipped art studio, where you can exercise your creativity and practice what you learn in our art therapy sessions.

Our Location

Our facilities are in peaceful Merrickville – near the Rideau River in Eastern Ontario. Our location offers relief from the busy-ness of life and helps you focus entirely on recovery. Newgate 180 has a very scenic location where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the river and immerse yourself in what we think is the most beautiful village in Canada. Merrickville is also very convenient to get to and easily accessible from many locations in Ontario.  

Separate Programs and Facilities

At Newgate 180, we offer separate men’s and women’s programs as well as co-ed programming where both men and women are welcomed.  We also provide separate facilities for men and women, where they can experience a calm environment to manage mental health issues, access addiction treatment programs, and benefit from our evidence-based treatment options. 

Women’s Residence and Treatment Centre

Our women’s treatment centre can house seven in-patients and provides semi-private bedrooms. These facilities are the perfect setting for our women’s addiction treatment programs. Therapy session rooms and spaces for educational programs, offered by certified professionals, are also delivered in this space. 

Our residence for women is a safe space – it provides an ideal setting for female clients who may need trauma-sensitive programming during their recovery. 

Men’s Residence and Treatment Centre

Our men’s treatment centre can house 16 in-patients and offers both private and semi-private bedrooms. Many amenities are available here to support recovery from addiction, dependency, mental health disorders, and withdrawal management.
