As a private, not-for-profit organization, we provide a personalized, one-year program consisting of a 30-day residential component followed by 11 months of ongoing care and support. Our men’s centre is located on the banks of the Rideau River, with our women’s centre just a short walk away. Newgate 180 is located in the beautiful and historic village of Merrickville, Ontario. We’re just a 30-minute drive from Ottawa, 45 minutes from Ogdensburg, N.Y., and less than 3 hours from Toronto and the GTA.

As a not-for-profit rehab centre and registered charity, our fees are substantially lower than other comparable “for-profit” treatment centres in Ontario.
Our fees are all-inclusive and usually funded by a client’s employee benefits, by personal or family savings or by our financing partner, Medicard.
Separate Women’s Programs and Facilities
We’re proud to offer separate treatment programs and home-like facilities for men and women. Our women’s residence is a safe space designed to provide trauma-sensitive programming for our female clients.
Over half of our programming is designed for women and delivered to them on an exclusive basis.
12 Months of Comprehensive Care and Support
Our industry-leading approach includes a 30-day residential program followed by 11 months of continuing care and support. Our program is unique in that it involves loved ones and when appropriate, work colleagues, to ensure the long-term success of each client’s recovery.
